We ensure that each patient understands the procedure and is fully numb before beginning. During a root canal, we will clean out the soft tissue in the middle of a tooth so we can eliminate the infection and bacteria that have invaded this area. We then fill the empty area with sterile material and close the tooth with a tooth-colored filling.
We recommend placing a crown on this tooth to extend its life as long as possible.
